Venues get A$5,500 for 10 gigs or A$11,000 for 20 gigs, to pay Victorian musicians at least A$250 each.

Who can apply

Licensed live music venue (capacity 50-1,200), or a local venue in outer Melbourne or regional Victoria
Legal entity with an active ABN, held since a date set each round
Venue holds a OneMusic licence; local venues may be in the process of getting one
Promoters cannot apply; they must work with a local venue that applies

How to apply

Check whether your venue is a licensed live music venue or a local venue

Create a profile on the Music Victoria Grants Portal and read the guidelines

Describe your venue and your gig plan in two answers of up to 500 words

Enter each gig with its date, act, number of performers and artist fee

Outcomes come by the end of November; gigs run from 1 December to 30 June
