Half of recording costs, up to C$10,000 for a single or EP and C$15,000 for an album, for Saskatchewan musicians.

When to apply: Three rounds a year, in June, September and January

Who can apply

Saskatchewan residents or corporations making music for commercial release
Recording and mixing in Saskatchewan studios by residents; mastering and manufacturing can be anywhere
Single or EP: one to six songs under 40 minutes; album: six or more songs over 30 minutes
Activities funded by SK Arts or SaskCulture are not eligible

How to apply

Read the general guidelines and the sound recording guidelines

Book a consultation with a Program Advisor, or have a draft reviewed

Apply in the Creative Saskatchewan grant portal before 4 pm Saskatchewan time on the deadline

Results arrive about 10 weeks after the deadline

If approved, 80% is paid at approval and 20% after your final report is approved
