- Legally constituted for-profit or non-profit company mainly presenting professional music or variety shows
- Head office and main premises in Quebec, majority-controlled by Quebec tax residents
- In operation for at least two years, with a capacity of 500 seats or fewer
- Significant ticket sales or other revenue linked to presenting shows
