Who can apply

Practicing artists, artisans, curators or cultural producers living in the city of Chicago
Proof of residency: an Illinois driver's license, state ID or Chicago CityKey with a Chicago address
Aged 18 or older and not a full-time undergraduate student
Artists take one year off after receiving a grant

How to apply

Read the yearly guidelines and join an optional info session or drop-in session

Apply through ChicagoCulturalGrants.org before the noon CT deadline; extensions are not granted

DCASE emails every applicant the result by mid June

Sign the grant agreement in July; the grant is taxable income
