Aged 18 or older and a Macomb, Oakland or Wayne County resident for the two years before the deadline
The 2026 round covered Live Arts and Film & Music, which includes music composition and music performance
No Kresge Artist Fellowship in the last 10 years, and not a degree-seeking student
Emerging artists are also considered for the $5,000 Gilda Awards from the same application

Write your responses and choose the work samples that best show your practice

Have a trusted reader review the application, then submit it by mid January

A panel of national and local artists reviews it; fellows are announced in summer
