Up to $5,000, or 60% of the artist fee, for New England nonprofits that present a regional artist or ensemble live.

When to apply: Three rounds a year, on the first business days of August, December and April

Who can apply

501(c)(3), school or government unit based in New England; an arts mission is not required
The presented artist or ensemble is NEST-eligible on CreativeGround and based in New England
You pay the artist a fee and hold a public, advertised performance, up to 2 applications per deadline

How to apply

Contact NEFA staff to confirm your project fits the guidelines

Choose a NEST-eligible artist on CreativeGround and agree on the fee

Keep your CreativeGround profile current and get a free SAM.gov Unique Entity ID

Submit before midnight on the deadline; you hear back in 6-8 weeks

Report within 40 days of the event, with the signed artist agreement, to be reimbursed

Checked against nefa.org on October 28, 2026.
