Up to $3,000 for nonprofits in rural or small Southern communities to present a Southern musician or other artist.

Nonprofit or government body in a rural, isolated or small community in AL, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, SC or TN
Feature a Southern artist; music is eligible under traditional arts and performing arts
A public presentation plus a workshop, demonstration or master class
Dollar-for-dollar cash match; projects run between July 2026 and June 2027

How to apply

Talk to the program director first if you are new to South Arts

Apply at least 60 days before the project starts

South Arts notifies you by email within four weeks

Hold the public presentation and the community activity, then report
