DesignCraft is ArtCraft's free, open-source app for "page layout and publishing", the job InDesign does. It runs on macOS, Windows and Linux, and as a web build. When a design has pages, columns or a print deadline, this is the app for it.

What musicians make with DesignCraft

• Gig and tour posters.
• One-sheets for a release.
• Vinyl inserts, CD booklets and liner notes.
• Zines and lyric books.
• A printable EPK for the promoters who still ask for a PDF.

Your press kit is already online

Before you lay out an EPK, open your Brand & Press Kit page on Aden (aden.space/@yourname/epk). It shows your logos, profile picture, banner, brand colors, artists and links on one page that stays current by itself. Most promoters only need the link. Keep the DesignCraft PDF for the ones who want a file.

Give fans the booklet

Publish a digital booklet or a lyric book with Aden's Downloads: a public page your team controls, where you decide what fans do to get the file.

Plan the print run

Printing has a deadline that counts back from release day. Add it to the track's release plan in Aden, so the posters arrive before the show and the booklet before the vinyl. See release plans.

Get DesignCraft

FAQ

Is DesignCraft free?

Yes. DesignCraft is open source and free to use on macOS, Windows and Linux.

What goes on a one-sheet for a release?

One page: the cover, the release date, a short bio, two or three highlights, the links and a contact. Keep it to what a buyer, a programmer or a journalist needs at a glance.

Should my EPK be a PDF or a link?

A link is easier to keep current, and Aden's press kit page updates on its own. Keep a PDF from DesignCraft for the promoters who ask for one.
