- Canadian-owned and controlled live music company, or a venue that promotes its own shows
- At least a full year presenting concerts by Canadian artists
- At least C$75,000 in eligible revenue from Canadian artist concerts in the last fiscal year
- Venues program at least 50% music, half of it by Canadian artists; artists and live workers are paid
