When to apply: Two rounds a year, in May and September

Who can apply

Canadian citizens or permanent residents who have lived in New Brunswick for six months
Artists or groups with no manager, agent, publicist or label, and little regional exposure so far
Artists who toured with other professional musicians are not eligible
Up to two investments in this component

How to apply

Read the 2026-2027 MID program guidelines and the Artist Development criteria

Apply on the MNB grant platform before 4 pm Atlantic time on the deadline

Decisions are sent within 12 weeks; 75% of the amount is paid once the investment agreement is signed

Send a completion report in the same fiscal year to receive the balance
