- South African recording artists, record companies or live music promoters
- At least two festivals or concerts staged in the past two years
- Event in South Africa at a SAMPRA-licensed venue, with live rather than pre-recorded performances
- The Fund pays at most 50% of the budget; none for a live event funded in the last six months
