When to apply: Once a year, from mid-February to mid-March

Who can apply

SAMPRA member recording artists or record companies who earned at least R3,000 from SAMPRA
The Fund pays at most 50% of the production budget; recording cannot start before the deadline
Not open to anyone funded for music production in the last twelve months
Recipients give SAMPRA a five-year mandate for neighbouring rights

How to apply

Gather a motivation letter, artist profile, ID copy and a budget with third-party quotations

Record companies add their CK company registration documents

The Fund Board decides within three months after the window closes
