FigCraft is ArtCraft's free, open-source app for "interface design and prototyping", the job Figma does. It has frames, auto layout, components and variants, styles and variables, prototyping, and a Dev Mode for handing a design to a developer. It runs on macOS, Windows and Linux, and as a web build.

When an artist needs FigCraft

• A custom site for a big release or a campaign.

When you don't: your Aden profile is a website

Most artists don't need to design a website from scratch. Your Aden profile already is one: your music, releases, shows, posts, shop and links. Set your brand colors, choose tabs or one long page, and point a domain you own at it. See Aden websites.

Keep designs with the release

Export the mockups and keep them in your team's Files, or put them in the track's Media to have them reviewed: the artist approves a design or asks for changes, with the comments on the file. Ideas and references go on the track's Inspiration moodboard.

Is FigCraft free?

Yes. FigCraft is open source and free to use on macOS, Windows and Linux.

Do I need a website as a musician?

You need a page you own, with your music, shows and contact, that doesn't depend on one social network. An Aden profile does that without designing one, and it can sit on your own domain.

Can FigCraft hand designs to a developer?

Yes. Its Dev Mode is made for hand-off: the developer reads the sizes, colors and styles from the design.
