When to apply: Twice a year, in March and September

Who can apply

Professional composers, songwriters and music creators who are Ontario residents
Songwriters write both music and words, or the music with a lyricist; words alone are not eligible
Composition students can apply only for a commission that is independent of their studies
Activities finish within two years of the results; recording projects go to Music Recording Projects

Read the Guide to OAC Project Programs

Create or update your profile in Nova, OAC's online grant system

Apply in Nova once the form opens, about two months before the deadline

Include a budget, answers to the questions and 2 to 3 audio or video samples

Attach your CV or bio, score excerpts or lyrics, and a commissioner's letter for commissions
