When to apply: 1 March and 1 September

Who can apply

Indigenous artists, arts administrators and ensembles who have lived in Alberta for at least one full year
Covers creation, marketing, research, and training and career development
Applicants and ensembles must not be incorporated, and must be in good standing with the AFA
Music co-owners such as band members and songwriters must also meet the Alberta residency rule

How to apply

Email registrationafa@gov.ab.ca five business days before the deadline to get a GATE Front Office login

Complete the online forms in GATE Front Office: applicant details, project description, co-owners and budget

Upload a resume and a project description; Indigenous project descriptions can be oral, up to 3 minutes

Submit before the deadline and before the project starts, with one application per deadline
